Le Brun's Daedalus and Icarus
"Daedalus and Icarus" was painted in either 1645 or 1646 by the French painter Charles Le Brun (1619-1690), who created most of his work for Louis XIV at either the Louvre or Versailles.
I am a second-year student in the Interdisciplinary Ph.D. in Theatre and Drama at Northwestern University. Recent projects include "Old Times" with TheatreFirst in Oakland, CA and "The Sins of Sor Juana" at Northwestern's Theatre and Interpretation Center, directed by Henry Godinez. As a dramaturg and director, I have worked with The Public Theater in New York, The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, and Magic Theatre, California Shakespeare Theater, The Marsh, and African American Shakespeare Company in San Francisco.
